Keep project memory and read honest usage
You keep a project goal, instructions and decisions in small memory files and read usage that comes only from recorded provider turns.

Recorded on SpecWithCode 0.2.0, added 9 October 2026. The current release is SpecWithCode 1.0.44.
Before you start: SpecWithCode installed; A project open.
Steps
- Keep the project goal, instructions and durable facts together. Instructions guide future turns; they do not replace a provider’s own history.
- Give a lasting decision its own small Markdown file and save it. SpecWithCode checks the file revision before replacing it.
- Reload and reopen the file to confirm the decision persisted. Another project keeps its own memory.
- Read usage, which comes from recorded provider turns. Missing data stays visible, and a cost estimate is not a bill.
